Welcome to the Beauty Help Center. I have compiled a list of common questions and answers in an effort to answer questions you may have about my services, my products, or my business. If you still can’t find an answer, please let me know and I will be happy to help you with whatever is on your mind.

How is Makeup By Sherill different from other Makeup Artists?

Before the Client confirm my services, I will understand her requirements and go through the expectations of the outcome with her. The packages will be explained in detail before she pays the Deposit Payment. There will not be hidden charges, which she is not aware of. I believe in putting myself before my Clients, and I avoid putting my Clients in dire situation, which I will not be comfortable to experience it myself. I believe in treating each other with respect. I will share skincare tips and routine with her, before the appointment. I am focused on makeup and hairstyling details, in order for her to appear in Her Best Presentation. For optimum results and bearing in mind of her sensitive skin, I will make sure my brushes and tools are cleaned for following days' appointments. My ultimate skill is to shape and define her features to enhance her natural beauty.

Which Payment methods does Makeup By Sherill accept?

A deposit of $50 - $700 (per package tier) to confirm the time slot for the appointment, payment can be done by Paynow transfer or SGQR code scan. The balance payment can be paid by Cash or Bank Transfer. Delay of payment will incur extra charges, at a surcharge of $50, in addition to the balance payment. Rest assured that all payment process will go through with the Client Before she confirms, and a full description will be sent to her in a confirmation list right after she has paid the deposit. A reminder will be sent to her 1 day before the appointment. It is suggested that she appoint someone that she trust, to handle the payment for her, if she foresees herself having the busiest day on that day.

Is the Deposit refundable if the Client decides to cancel/late for the appointment?

After the cancellation by the Client and she has paid the deposit, the deposit is non-refundable and there will be no refunds if the Makeup Artist's Client decides to cancel/late for the appointment. The deposit is used to confirm the time slots that she has reserved. If the Client has a change of mind, the deposit that she has paid will be kept as credits for her next booking, subject to the availability of time slots by the Makeup Artist. A cancellation list will be sent to her, with a record of credits she is entitled to for her next booking. The deposit payment that the Client has paid will remain as credits. After the cancellation, the services package cost is decided by the Makeup Artist and may not remain the same cost as the Client has been quoted for the first time. The credits are transferable.

Can I pay the Balance Payment only by the end of the day or when I have the time to do so?

For the Balance Payment, it has to be paid right after the 1st makeover session is completed. The Balance Payment can be paid by cash or bank transfer of either Paynow/SGQR. Delay of Payment will incur Extra Charges, at $50, in addition to the Balance Payment.

Do the Services Packages prices change over time?

​If you have not confirmed the Services Package price and have not paid the deposit, The Makeup Artist reserves the right to adjust the Services Packages Prices in the future and it will be applied to all the services, without prior notice given to her Clients. The decision comes after the increasing cost in the growing economy and costs of Services Packages quoted by Makeup By Sherill will remain affordable and reasonable.

What If the Makeup Artist fell sick or she had met with an accident and is unable to turn up for her Client's appointment?

The Makeup Artist will refund the Full Deposit by Paynow to her Client. In addition, the Makeup Artist will also pay $100 as a compensation to her Client. The Client will be notified by text or call. She will be sent a Compensation notice thereafter to acknowledge the refund of the Deposit payment and the Compensation amount by Proof of payment screenshot by the Makeup Artist. The Client do not have the right to reject the Makeup Artist as the condition falls under the unforeseen circumstances.

Is Sherill professionally trained, certified in Makeup Institution or Self-taught?

Allow me to have a brief introduction of myself. To further my interest and skills in the makeup profession, I have completed a comprehensive Diploma course, module is under Professional Bridal Makeup Artistry from The School of Makeup and have successfully yet proudly graduated in the year 2008. Having a deep interest in the Makeup field, I have decided to pursue a career as a Professional Makeup Artist with various international brands. I believe in incorporating the skill set taught in the Makeup Institute and while being professionally trained by International Makeup Artist across the border! Having equipped with years of experience enhanced my skill set to a higher level. Every makeover comes with a thrilling yet satisfying experience! Even more when Clients expressed their satisfaction & gratitude after their makeover. Interacting with Clients and gaining their trust and loyalty over the years have motivated me to stay put in the same profession, whilst sharing my expertise with them! Across the Makeup brands, I have touched base with international models for fashion shows, experienced with skin tones of different Brides for Bridal Makeup Services, as well as Bridal Entourage makeovers! Time is an essence, especially when it comes to prestigious clients, I am well trained under the execution of the test of time and precision! Under the Luxury Branded Group, it was a privilege to be trained by International Makeup Trainers from Abroad! It was then decided that I run Makeup By Sherill, shortly after I left, as a Freelance Makeup Artist! It is not under Corporate brands. I do enjoy the time flexibility! Rest Assured that the Makeup products that I am using, are renowned brands from the luxury group. I am familiar with the brands that I used, and I have full faith in the performance of the products that it delivers.

What is the difference of a Guest Makeover? 

Compared to Guest Makeover, which is lesser in cost and thus the lesser Hour provided. Lesser hour does not mean lesser attention. It means Makeup and Hairstyles have limited choices, and it requires lesser time to complete. It all comes down to the needs and budget of my Clients. Whether you need that extra attention given to the Makeup and Hairstyle for that day.
